THE SKED’S THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 5/9/13

Scandal is on its way to becoming a phenomenon.

Episode Track 2013 Thu May 9

ABC:  With the season finale still to come, last night’s SCANDAL set a series record 3.2.  That was up an incredible 0.6 from last week, up 0.3 from its lead-in, and towers over anything else airing at 10PM on network TV.  For its part, GREY’S ANATOMY slipped a slight 0.1 to 2.9.  The night started with a 1.2 for the season premiere of WIPEOUT, pretty much where Wife Swap has been the last few weeks.

NBC:  As rumors circulate that COMMUNITY might make it to a 5th season, this year’s finale climbed 0.1 to 1.3.  The penultimate 1-hour episode of THE OFFICE was up a very healthy 0.5 to 2.3, boding well for next week’s exit.  Even with the higher lead-in, though, HANNIBAL remained mired at 1.1.

CBS:  THE BIG BANG THEORY was down 0.3 to 4.6, just slightly above its season low.  2 1/2 MEN, though, rose 0.2 to 3.4.  PERSON OF INTEREST had its third consecutive week at a series low 2.4, then ELEMENTARY was bludgeoned by the competition on ABC, falling 0.2 to a series low 1.8.

FOX:  AMERICAN IDOL was up 0.2 from last week’s series low to 2.8, and the GLEE season finale also rose 0.2 to 2.1, still below the show’s season average.

CW:  THE VAMPIRE DIARIES was slightly down at 0.9, and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST held at 0.5 for the third week in a row.

Tonight’s line-up features one definite series finale (TOUCH on FOX) and one that’s probable (VEGAS on CBS), with new episodes of almost everything else.
