THE SKED: TNT Launches “King & Maxwell” Fairly Well

Last night’s premiere telecast of KING & MAXWELL gave TNT a decent 0.6-0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.5M total viewers, an old-skewing result (only around one-quarter of total viewers were under 50) that’s consistent with its lead-in MAJOR CRIMES, albeit losing about 30% of that show’s numbers.  If King can hold there, TNT would probably be content, but a slippage of just a couple of tenths could be a problem.

Major Crimes itself did nicely in its Season 2 return with 5 million total viewers and a 1.0 in 18-49s, outperforming last fall’s season finale by 0.1 in the demo, although it was marginally down (about 2.5%) in total viewers.
