SHOWBUZZDAILY TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.25.2020

Night 2 of the REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION was at a preliminary 0.3/0.2/0.3, consistent with both Monday’s results and last week’s Democratic Convention Tuesday (and of course sharply down from 2016, as all the Convention ratings have been for both parties).  See Mitch Metcalf’s Convention ratings analysis post this afternoon for more detail.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  After reruns at 0.4/0.3, WHAT WOULD YOU DO gained 0.1 to 0.4, and Convention coverage was at 0.3.

CBS;  An NCIS rerun at 0.4 was followed by LOVE ISLAND, down 0.1 from Monday to 0.3, and Convention coverage at 0.2.

NBC:  AMERICA’S GOT TALENT was steady at 0.7, and Convention coverage was at 0.3.

FOX:  Reruns at 0.4/0.2.

CW:  The new episode of DEAD PIXELS held at 0.1, followed by a rerun at 0.1, and TELL ME A STORY was steady at 0.1.

The REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION continues tonight, and there are finales for ABC’s UNITED WE FALL and Comedy Central’s CORPORATE.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available this afternoon with the broadcast finals.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top Tuesday cable programs and broadcast finals.
