FOX:  The hope that a Cubs vs. Indians WORLD SERIES would bring in viewers who don’t normally watch baseball is paying off.  As further detailed in Mitch Metcalf’s SKEDBALL post, the preliminary 5.4 for Game 1 was 0.8 higher than last year’s early number, and marks the 2d consecutive year that World Series Game 1 ratings have risen.

NBC:  Whether because of the baseball competition or not, THE VOICE took a 0.4 hit from last Tuesday to 2.1.  THIS IS US dropped 0.2 to 2.4.  CHICAGO FIRE, though, was steady at 1.6.

CBS:  NCIS (1.7) and BULL (1.5) were down 0.1 from last week, but NCIS: NEW ORLEANS managed a 0.1 bump to 1.3.

ABC:  THE MIDDLE held at 1.5, but AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE dropped 0.2 to 1.5.  FRESH OFF THE BOAT was down 0.1 to 1.2, while THE REAL O’NEALS climbed 0.1 to 1.0.  AGENTS OF SHIELD was up 0.1 to 0.8.

CW:  THE FLASH and NO TOMORROW were steady at 1.0 and 0.3.

SundanceTV’s critically hailed RECTIFY begins its 4th and final season tonight.
