THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 12/3/13

Tuesday fast national ratings with relevant comparisons:

MONDAY UPDATE:  The newly-renewed THE BLACKLIST came down 0.3 in final post-football numbers to 3.2.  That removed the episode’s preliminary distinction of tying its lead-in from THE VOICE (which was reduced 0.1 to 3.4), but it was still a very strong result for the fall finale of the thriller.

Last night, several of the networks rested their stronger shows, and the ones that were left didn’t appreciate having to fend for themselves–although the competition enjoyed it.

Daily Comparison 2013 Tue Dec 3 three way

FOX:  A see-saw night.  Since ABC and CBS were in reruns at 8PM, DADS (up 0.2 to 1.4) and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (up 0.1 to 1.6) had good nights.  But with NEW GIRL on the bench (0.9 for a rerun), THE MINDY PROJECT fell 0.2 to 1.2.

ABC:  AGENTS OF SHIELD took the week off (a rerun 0.9), leaving THE GOLDBERGS down 0.3 to a series low 1.4 and TROPHY WIFE down 0.1 to tie its series low 1.1.  The season premiere of WHAT WOULD YOU DO had a weak 1.0.

NBC:  THE BIGGEST LOSER was even at 2.0, but then THE VOICE benefited from the soft competition and rose 0.3 to 3.3.  Without a new Person of Interest to face, CHICAGO FIRE climbed 0.2 to 2.3.

CW:  Fall finales of THE ORIGINALS and SUPERNATURAL were even at twin 1.1s.

CBS:  An all-rerun night highlighted by 1.6 for NCIS.

CBS continues in rerun mode (except for SURVIVOR) tonight, while NBC airs its perennial CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER special.  On cable, TNT premieres its event miniseries MOB CITY.
