UPDATED: THE SKED NETWORK/CABLE SCORECARD – 12/10/13

AFTERNOON UPDATE:  AGENTS OF SHIELD salvaged a shred of is dignity by rising 0.1 in final Tuesday numbers, although the resulting 2.1 is still a new low for the show.  SHIELD ran until 9:01PM, and after that THE GOLDBERGS dropped a corresponding 0.1 to 1.6.  In addition, NCIS gained 0.1 for 2.9.

TUESDAY CABLE:  Nothing came close to the 2.8 for the season finale of SONS OF ANARCHY (FX), up 0.3 from last week (which was itself up 0.3 from the week before)–plus another 0.6 for the midnight re-airing.  TOSH.0 (COMEDY) and MOONSHINERS (DISCOVERY) were at 1.1 and 1.0, each down 0.1 from last week.  ROBOT CHICKEN (ADULT SWIM) and REAL HUSBANDS (BET) were both at 0.8, which was down 0.1 for ROBOT.

EARLIER:

This wasn’t the way ABC wanted its flagship new series to hit its winter break.

Daily Comparison 2013 Tue Dec 10 three way

ABC:  The fall finale episode of AGENTS OF SHIELD got slammed last night, with no ready excuse from the competition on the other networks.  It fell 0.6 from its last new episode to a new low 2.0, and the network has to be concerned that when it returns in January, it could start seeing numbers that start with a 1.  THE GOLDBERGS was at 1.7, up 0.3 from last week when it followed a SHIELD rerun, but up a slimmer 0.1 from the last time it aired after a new SHIELD hour.  TROPHY WIFE was up 0.1 to 1.2, and WHAT WOULD YOU DO fell 0.1 to 0.9.

CBS:  NCIS fell 0.2 from its last new episode to 2.8, while NCIS LA held even at 2.4.  The VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the highest rated show of the night at 3.4, although that was down 0.2 from last year’s edition.

NBC:  THE BIGGEST LOSER dropped 0.2  to 1.9, and THE VOICE was down 0.3 to 3.1.  The fall finale of CHICAGO FIRE slipped just 0.1 to 2.2, against much stronger competition on CBS.

FOX:  The AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS were steady at 1.4 from last year’s installment.

CW:  A pair of IHEARTRADIO music special reruns were at 0.3/0.2.

NBC airs a new episode of THE SING-OFF tonight, followed by a Kelly Clarkson Christmas special.  NASHVILLE on ABC and both CW shows have their fall finales.
