THE SKED’S TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/11/13

By summer TV standards, there were plenty of well-watched shows on the networks last night.  The bad news:  they were all down.

Daily Comparison 2013 Tue Jun 11

ABC:  Game 3 of the NBA FINALS will, we estimate, end up with a 5.8 rating after adjustment to reflect west coast live viewing.  However, that’s 0.7 below Game 3 of last year’s Finals (which aired on a Sunday).  Our 0.9 estimate for the pre-game JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE would be even with the one preceding last year’s Game 3, and the 2.0 for NBA COUNTDOWN would be 0.5 higher than last year’s.

NBC:  Even though it didn’t face the game itself, THE VOICE hit an all-time low 2.7 last night, down 0.4 from last week.  That was particularly perplexing since AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, which did compete directly with basketball, was at 3.0 (itself down 0.1 from last week’s premiere).

FOX:  SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was down a tick to 1.6.

CBS:  A new episode of BROOKLYN D.A., with 0.6 (down 0.1 from last week) wasn’t anywhere close to the 1.1/1.0 for the NCIS reruns that preceded it.

CW:  0.2 for a pair of reruns.

Every network except CW has at least something new tonight, including the STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 1 on NBC and various unscripted and burned-off fare on the others.  On cable, ROYAL PAINS and NECESSARY ROUGHNESS have their season debuts on USA.
