Tuesday fast national ratings indicate NBC owned the night thanks to the continued domination of The Voice. The night was interrupted by the second Presidential Debate. For most networks, there will be around 80 minutes of programming rated in prime time: an hour from 8-9 pm and approximately 10:40-11:00 for the analysis portion of the debate. The analysis program (with commercials) should have started at 10:30, but moderator Candy Crowley, whose primary job in the lame “town hall” format was to keep time, failed miserably, allowing President Obama especially to ramble on beyond the two-minute time limit for each response.
