SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 1.20.2021

NOTE:  The CELEBRATING AMERICA special was also featured on multiple cable networks, and we’ll have those numbers tomorrow.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  The Big 3 networks all followed a half-hour Inauguration news special with CELEBRATING AMERICA.  On ABC, they were at 0.8/0.6, and notwithstanding the chart they were followed by new sitcom episodes, with THE CONNERS steady with last week’s 0.6, and CALL YOUR MOTHER down 0.1 to 0.4.

CBS:  The Inauguration combo at 0.5/0.4 was followed by a MAGNUM PI rerun at 0.2.

NBC:  The Inauguration shows at 0.7/0.8 were followed by a CHICAGO PD rerun at 0.4.

FOX:  THE MASKED DANCER (0.6) and NAME THAT TUNE (0.6) were down 0.1 from last week.

CW:  The season premiere of RIVERDALE was down 0.2 from the October 2019 premiere to 0.2, and the season premiere of NANCY DREW fell 0.2 from last season’s series premiere to 0.1.

Tonight, CW continues its scripted launch with the series premiere of WALKER and the season premiere of LEGACIES.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available Friday morning with the broadcast finals.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back FRIDAY morning for detailed demographic ratings for top Wednesday cable programs and broadcast finals.
