SHOWBUZZDAILY WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 7.15.2020

 

A fair start for ABC’s new sitcom.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  UNITED WE FALL debuted at 0.6/0.5, enough to make the 8PM episode the highest-rated show of the night.  After reruns at 0.4/0.3, AGENTS OF SHIELD was steady at 0.3.

CBS:  TOUGH AS NAILS was down 0.1 from last week’s 2-hour premiere to 0.5.  GAME ON returned from a week off down 0.3 to 0.3.  A SEAL TEAM rerun followed at 0.2.

FOX:  After a MASTERCHEF rerun at 0.4, ULTIMATE TAG dropped 0.2 to 0.3.

CW:  THE 100 (0.2) and BULLETPROOF (0.1) were steady.

NBC:  Reruns at 0.4/0.4.0.4.

Tonight’s big event is the self-explanatory 30 ROCK: A ONE-TIME SPECIAL–but only in the areas where the network’s affiliates aren’t refusing to air what appears to be an elaborate commercial for ComcastNBC’s new Peacock streaming service.  In addition, there are season finales for Freeform’s THE BOLD TYPE and FOX’s LABOR OF LOVE.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available this afternoon with the broadcast finals.
