UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK WEDNESDAY SCORECARD – 5/28/14

NETWORK UPDATE:  The only changes involved reruns:  0.1 increases for ARROW, MODERN FAMILY and THE GOLDBERGS at 9:30PM.  We didn’t mention it this morning, but it’s also worth noting that ABC’s MOTIVE, its only original show of the night, was also its lowest-rated.

WEDNESDAY CABLE:  ESPN’s coverage of the Miami/Indiana NBA PLAYOFFS game easily topped everything on network TV and cable last night with a 3.1.  NBC Sports Network’s airing of the NHL PLAYOFFS was at 0.8.  CATFISH (MTV) held at last week’s 1.0.  THE WORLD WARS (History) gained 0.1 from Tuesday to 0.9.  DUAL SURVIVAL (Discovery) was at 0.7.

A news special was one of the night’s highest-rated shows.

NBC:  The network mysteriously yanked the World Music Awards special from its schedule at the last minute, in favor of a LAST MAN STANDING rerun, which did reasonably well at 1.1.  After that INSIDE THE MIND OF EDWARD SNOWDEN did quite well at 10PM with 1.3, topping original programming on ABC and a CBS rerun.

FOX:  The season premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE fell 0.3 from last season to 1.6.

ABC:  MOTIVE stayed at 0.9.  The network’s highest-rated show was a MODERN FAMILY rerun at 1.3.

CW:  A fresh episode of THE 100 rose 0.1 to an impressive 0.6, doubling the rating for the ARROW rerun that preceded it.

CBS:  Reruns, highlighted by 1.2 for CRIMINAL MINDS.

The networks continue to roll out their summer programming, as NBC adds the sitcom UNDATEABLE to its line-up tonight with back-to-back episodes.
