Another network premiere with little promise.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
CBS: BIG BROTHER opened shop for summer 2016 with a 1.8 2-hour premiere, down 0.3 from 2015’s 1-hour launch. The lead-in did little for AMERICAN GOTHIC, off to a low start at 0.7.
NBC: After 1.0 for an AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR rerun, THE NIGHT SHIFT dropped 0.1 to 0.9.
FOX: MASTERCHEF fell a heavy 0.3 to 1.0, making WAYWARD PINES’ steady 0.7 look not so bad.
ABC: Sitcom reruns, led by 0.9 for MODERN FAMILY.
CW: Reruns at 0.2/0.3.
BATTLEBOTS returns to ABC tonight. On cable, QUEEN OF THE SOUTH premieres on USA, and BBCAmerica starts the limited series THIRTEEN.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
