Another good night for sports on network TV.
NBC: Per Mitch Metcalf: NHL STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 4 scored a 2.2 adult 18-49 rating in the fast nationals, which should go up to a 2.3 in the official nationals later today. Game 1 a week ago Monday (the last game on NBC) registered a 2.4 in the fast nationals and went up to a 2.5 in the officials. A year ago, Game 4 aired on NBC Sports Network and could only muster a 0.8 adult 18-49 rating. (Complete Stanley Cup year to year comparison above.)
FOX: MASTERCHEF was down 0.3 in both its hours at 2.0/2.2.
ABC: The network’s original programming drew little interest, with a 0.9 for FAMILY TOOLS (even with last week) and a new low 1.0 for HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS (FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, down 0.2 from last week. Parents couldn’t even equal the MODERN FAMILY rerun that aired as its lead-in. THE LOOKOUT, with 1.1, barely edged out a CSI rerun on CBS.
CBS: AMERICAN BAKING COMPETITION held at 1.2, the network’s biggest number of the night.
CW: Reruns at 0.4/0.4.
Tonight will belong to ABC and Game 7 of the NBA FINALS. NBC’s HANNIBAL has the unenviable task of airing its season finale against that juggernaut, and FOX also has fresh programming for the night. On cable, FX’s quirky comedy WILFRED has its season premiere.
