The night before Sweeps was a dim one.
FOX: AMERICAN IDOL lost 0.2, for a 3.2 that was 0.1 above its series low and just half a point above Survivor.
ABC: HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS (FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE) survived one week without a new MODERN FAMILY lead-in, but two was pushing it, and the show, which had fallen half a point last week, tumbled another half-point to 1.5. The rest of the night was reruns, highlighted of course by Modern Family with 1.8.
CBS: SURVIVOR was rock-solid at 2.7, then reruns were 1.5/1.5, with CSI easily winning the battle of the reruns at 10PM.
NBC: With reruns on CBS and ABC, it was a good night for SVU, up 0.2 to 1.8, its best number in weeks. DATELINE had a 1.3, and a CHICAGO FIRE rerun was at 1.0, far behind CBS.
CW: ARROW and SUPERNATURAL, with their first new episodes in 3 weeks, were both at 1.0, up a respective 0.1 and 0.2.
Welcome to “May” Sweeps! Everything is new on every network tonight, except for a rerun of The Office to fill the 8:30PM slot on NBC, because the network ran out of awful Thursday sitcoms to put there. The rush of season finales kicks off on Sunday, when The Good Wife will be the first to say adieu.
