Thanks to the NCAA tournament and more original episodes on the other nights, CBS moved back into first place for the week ending Sunday.  Based on four nights of official ratings and three nights of adjusted fast nationals, CBS will be the only network above a 2 rating with adults 18-49 in prime time for the week.  The other networks were above or near last week’s levels, but all three still lag well behind last year’s pace.

Weekly Rating Mar 18-24
18-49 Rating vs Last Year
CBS 2.10 +1% Up from 1.74 last week
FOX 1.93 -13% Near the 1.95 last week
ABC 1.78 -10% Up from 1.67 last week
NBC 1.20 -27% Up from 1.14 last week
4-net 7.01 -11% Down from 7.91 for same week last year

The Voice returns to NBC tonight and should push NBC’s weekly rating from the puny 1.2 range to around a 1.9.  Enough to be more respectable each week, but not enough to beat FOX each week going forward.  It appears FOX will hold on to second place for the season narrowly.

Season to Date Sep 24-Mar 24
18-49 Rating vs Last Year (Projected full season)
CBS 2.52 -2% (2.38)
FOX 2.17 -22% (2.14)
NBC 2.12 -9% (2.06)
ABC 1.86 -11% (1.84)
