THE SKED’S MONDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 2/25/13

CBS takes a hit.

CBS:  The only good news of the night was that HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER held steady at 3.4 (although the episode itself was another “running in place” half-hour, as the show continues to put off reaching its conclusion next season).  After that, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT fell 0.3 to 2.6, and even worse, 2 BROKE GIRLS hit a series low 3.2 (also down 0.3), and MIKE & MOLLY dropped half a point to 2.7.  The night ended with a 1.4 for a HAWAII 5-0 rerun, still enough to beat NBC’s new programming in the hour.

ABC:  A steady evening gave the network the nightly win, as THE BACHELOR slipped only slightly to 2.9 and CASTLE was even at 2.3.

FOX:  BONES was up a tick to 2.3, but THE FOLLOWING lost some momentum, down 0.2 to 2.7.

NBC:  Both THE BIGGEST LOSER and DECEPTION were even at a respective 2.1 and 1.2.

CW:  Very mild improvement, as THE CARRIE DIARIES edged up to 0.5 and 90210 did likewise to 0.3.

One reason CBS would have liked last night to go better is that tonight it launches its only scripted midseason series, GOLDEN BOY.  With just 2 days to go in February sweeps, all the networks feature fresh programming.  In addition, HBO begins its well-reviewed miniseries PARADE’S END.
