THE SKED’S MONDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/4/12

If only NBC could just show talent competitions…

NBC:  If it weren’t for a 1.0 GRIMM rerun at 10PM,  NBC would easily have won the night.  AMERICA’S GOT TALENT was Monday’s highest-rated show at 3.2, up a nice 0.4 from last Monday, and AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR was up slightly to 2.2.

FOX:  With only 2 hours to program, the network took the night with its duo of Gordon Ramsay shows.  HELL’S KITCHEN premiered with a 2.4 that was just about even with last year, and MASTERCHEF proved perfectly compatible with a 2.3, far better than last year’s parallel episode (that lacked Hell’s Kitchen as a companion).

ABC:  THE BACHELORETTE‘s 2.1 was up a bit from last week but 3rd place in both its hours, then a 10PM CASTLE repeat fell to 0.9.

CBS:  All reruns, highlighted by 1.5 for 2 1/2 MEN.

CW:   Has any broadcast network ever achieved a rating rounded down to 0?  CW may be getting there, as its rerun of THE CATALINA, watched by only 335,000 people in the country, had a 0.1.

Tonight’s only new scripted programs are on cable, as TNT premieres the 3rd season of RIZZOLI & ISLES and the 2d season of its legal comedy FRANKLIN & BASH.  The broadcast networks are full of reality shows:  AMERICA’S GOT TALENT leading in to LOVE IN THE WILD on NBC, more Gordon Ramsay on FOX, and on ABC, a Queen’s Jubilee concert from London with Paul McCartney, Elton John and Annie Lennox among the performers.  All will almost certainly be outrated by Game 5 of the Boston/Miami NBA PLAYOFFS on ESPN.
