A tough start to Upfronts week for the networks.
ABC: The season finale of ONCE UPON A TIME was down an ugly 1.1 from last year’s finale, leaving it with a 2.2 that was flat with last week. Even worse was the 2-hour REVENGE season finale, down 0.2 from last week (and down 0.8 from last year’s finale, which aired on a Wednesday) to a 1.6, not far above its series low.
CBS: In preliminary numbers (the show extended to 10:09PM, so there will be adjustments), the SURVIVOR season finale was down 0.3 from last May’s finale to 2.6, and the REUNION SHOW was down 0.1 to 2.2. (Last year, though, both shows faced much stronger competition from the series finale of Desperate Housewives, which had a 3.2.) The night started with a 1.5 for 60 MINUTES, up 0.3 from last week’s season low.
NBC: After a 1.0 for a rerun of THE VOICE, CELEBRITY APPRENTICE hit a new all-time low 1.3.
FOX: A full hour of THE CLEVELAND SHOW (because of last week’s preemption) was at 0.8/1.0, with the early episode a new season low. Last week’s episodes all aired out of timeslot, but THE SIMPSONS was down 0.2 from 2 weeks ago at 1.9, BOB’S BURGERS was down 0.1 to 1.6, FAMILY GUY was down 0.2 to 2.4, and AMERICAN DAD was down 0.4 to 1.9.
Tonight’s shipment of season finales includes HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (which may–or may not–include a major revelation), 2 BROKE GIRLS, CASTLE and a 2-hour farewell to 90210.
