And the winner isn’t.
CBS: THE TONY AWARDS, with little-known contenders for Best Musical and Best Play, and no movie stars up for any awards, hit an all-time low 1.0, the lowest rating of the night except for FOX animation reruns during the 7PM hour, and lower even than its own 60 MINUTES lead-in. (To be fair, if audiences over 50 years old are counted, it was the 2d highest total audience of the night behind 60 Minutes… but that’s a lot of non-advertiser-friendly viewers.)
ABC: Twin 1.5s for new episodes of SECRET MILLIONAIRE and EXTREME MAKEOVER: WEIGHT LOSS EDITION, which were enough to win the night.
NBC: DATELINE had a 1.2, then reruns of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT scored 1.3/1.5.
FOX: Animation reruns, highlighted by a 1.6 for FAMILY GUY.
Tonight, NBC will try another STANLEY CUP FINALS game, against new episodes of THE BACHELORETTE on ABC and the cooking duo on FOX. Meanwhile, ABCFamily debuts BUNHEADS, from the creator of Gilmore Girls and starring Tony-winner Sutton Foster.

Sunday preliminary broadcast ratings: 60 Minutes and the CBS 7:00-7:30 half hour specifically inflated by 10 minutes of the end of Masters coverage from 7:00-7:10 pm (mostly the monumentally awkward and amazingly tense ceremony in “Butler Cabin,” where the Green Jacket is awarded).
