THE SKED’S TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 12/18/12

The Voice hasn’t run out of steam just yet.

NBC:  The cycle finale of THE VOICE hit a 4.9, way up from last week and even more impressively, up half a point from last spring’s finale.  Even a rerun of the previous night’s episode at 8PM managed a 2.4, in 2d place for its hour.  NBC will miss those numbers badly until mid-March, when the series returns.

ABC:  The airwaves have seemed inundated with Charlie Brown this holiday season, and yet another run of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS had a 1.7, only 3d place at 8PM.  The rest of the night was stable:  slight increases for HAPPY ENDINGS (1.3) and DON’T TRUST THE B— (1.1), along with a flat 1.2 for PRIVATE PRACTICE.

CBS:  With a rerun Voice at 8PM, NCIS jumped half a point to 3.3, easily winning its hour.  That perked NCIS LA up 0.3 to 2.9.  The effect didn’t last, however, as VEGAS was up just a tick to 1.6.

FOX:  Rerun sitcoms were 0.6-1.0, although it’s worth noting that the highest rated of the bunch was RAISING HOPE, usually nowhere near the lead on Tuesdays.

CW:  A VERY MUPPET CHRISTMAS had a 0.5, the same as the network’s normal programming tends to do.

Aside from a new CHICAGO FIRE on NBC and X FACTOR on FOX, the night is all reruns and specials:  a Katie Couric news round-up on ABC, a Rascal Flatts music special on CBS, and the MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT on NBC.
