THE SKED’S TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/5/12

Not a good night for grand dames.

NBC:  AMERICA’S GOT TALENT got things off to a 3.4 start, by far the biggest broadcast rating of the night, and enough to singlehandedly give the night to NBC.  But LOVE IN THE WILD, despite host Jenny McCarthy, flopped down to a 1.6 afterward (off a big 0.6 from last year’s debut), squandering more than half its lead-in.

ABC:  Those fleeing Jenny McCarthy didn’t care for Queen Elizabeth either, as CONCERT FOR THE QUEEN did a sad 1.3, although it did prove more popular with older audiences, thanks to the less-than-spry talent (Paul McCartney, Elton John, Annie Lennox) involved.  In the 8PM hour, LAST MAN STANDING reruns plodded to twin 0.8s.

FOX:  The Gordon Ramsay double feature of HELL’S KITCHEN and MASTERCHEF worked well again, with a pair of 2.1s.

CBS:  Reruns were all 1.1-1.3 for the night.

CW:  THE CATALINA and a rerun THE LA COMPLEX were at 0.3 and 0.2.

The only hours of new programming on broadcast TV tonight are SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE on FOX and CBS’s flop DOGS IN THE CITY.  However, USA has the season premieres of ROYAL PAINS and NECESSARY ROUGHNESS.  And the Stanley Cup could be won by LA tonight, for those viewers able to find NBC Sports Network high up in their listings.
