THE SKED’S TUESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 7/10/12

Baseball scores a run.

FOX:  The major-league BASEBALL ALL-STAR GAME was the highest rated show of the night, and will probably be up from last year’s 3.1 when final numbers are in, but it’s still not particularly impressive, especially since Monday’s Home-Run Derby on ESPN had a 2.7.

ABC:  It’s not clear why anyone at ABC thought it was a good idea to launch new programming against the All-Star Game, but someone did, and the celebrity improv show TRUST US WITH YOUR LIFE premiered with a disastrous 1.1, followed by the debut of the well-reviewed documentary series NY MED, almost as bad with 1.2.  The network did best with a 1.4 for WIPEOUT at 8PM.

NBC:  AMERICA’S GOT TALENT wasn’t far behind baseball with a 2.7, actually up from last week’s 2.3.  LOVE IN THE WILD stayed fairly steady, for what it’s worth, at 1.3.

CBS:  Reruns, with a 1.2 for NCIS the highlight.

CW:  Reruns at 0.3/0.2.

Every network has 1 new show on tonight:  America’s Got Talent on NBC, DOGS IN THE CITY on CBS, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE on FOX and FINAL WITNESS on ABC.  DirecTV subscribers, hurting over the (presumably temporary) loss of all Viacom cable channels including Comedy Central and MTV, get the premieres of the final season of DAMAGES and the launch of HIT & MISS, a show that features Chloe Sevigny as a pre-op transsexual hitman/woman.  So there’s that.
