THE SKED’S WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/20/12

Wherever Justin Bieber’s fans are, they’re not watching network television.

NBC:  The first part of a 2-night special that’s oh-so-coincidentally airing the same week as its star’s new release, JUSTIN BIEBER:  ALL AROUND THE WORLD could only get to a 0.9 rating in 18-49s.  It didn’t even skew as young as you might think:  under 50% of its total audience was in the demo.  Everything else on NBC last night (a couple of SVU repeats) was below a 1.0 as well.

ABC:  DUETS, relocated from Thursdays due to the NBA Finals, continued to flounder, losing a third of its MODERN FAMILY rerun lead-in for a 1.1 rating.

CBS:  DOGS IN THE CITY and its 1.0 had the night’s lowest number, below reruns of CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI.

FOX:  An easy win for the night (Univision was in 2d place, beating all other English-language networks) with SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE‘s 2.4.

CW:  AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL reruns at 0.3/0.4.

Tonight ABC will be Oklahoma City’s biggest fan, as a Miami win would close out the NBA FINALS before reaching Games 6 or 7, the most lucrative and highest-rated of all sports series. CBS airs repeats, NBC has the 2d half of that Bieber special as part of its all-new night, and FOX has on THE CHOICE and TAKE ME OUT.
