THE SKED’S WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 9/19/12

CBS had an exit and an entrance last night, neither of them very impressive.

CBS:  SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES  debuted with 3.1, down 0.3 from last fall’s premiere (although that faced weaker competition).  That was followed by the season finale of BIG BROTHER, which was down 0.4 from the last summer finale to 2.5.  Neither of these are panic-inducing numbers, but they indicate franchises that are getting long in the tooth.

FOX:  Without The Voice as competition, X FACTOR rose just a tick from last week to 3.5.

NBC:  The network took a break from its “early season” approach and ran a night of reruns, highlighted by 1.7 for The Voice (with a 1.2 for the repeat of Revolution‘s pilot).

ABC:  Reruns, with MODERN FAMILY‘s 1.6 by far the best.

CW:  OH SIT was steady at 0.4, just barely beating a SUPERNATURAL rerun at 0.3.

Tonight NBC jumps back into preview mode, with an SNL ELECTION SPECIAL followed by season premieres of UP ALL NIGHT, THE OFFICE and PARKS & RECREATION.  They face new episodes of X FACTOR and GLEE on FOX, with reruns or unscripted summer programming on the other networks.  On cable, FX airs the season finale of WILFRED (not yet announced for renewal), and MTV has the finale of the already-renewed AWKWARD.
