The weekly network ratings in prime time (now based on seven days of official nationals) are final, with substantial downward revisions from our estimate yesterday. The Saturday fast national ratings were vastly overstated because of continued local coverage of NFL preseason games in a handful of markets, and that was enough to inflate the weekly number.  CBS remains in the #1 spot for the week in the official tally, while NBC and ABC swapped places in the weekly ranking (although they remain extremely close to each other).

Adult 18-49 Prime Time Rating
THIS WEEK Same Week Last Year Last Week
Aug 5-11, 2013 Aug 6-12, 2012 % chg July 29-Aug 4, 2013 % chg
CBS 1.18 0.95 +24% 1.21 -3%
NBC 1.09 7.94 -86% 1.57 -31%
ABC 1.07 0.87 +23% 1.01 +6%
FOX 0.89 0.88 +1% 0.92 -4%
4-net 4.23 10.64 -60% 4.71 -10%

In a few cases, the summer to date rating declined one-hundreth of a rating point from what we reported yesterday.  The overall picture remains the same, however.

Summer to Date May 27-Aug 11
18-49 Rating vs Last Year
ABC 1.40 -1%
NBC 1.37 -57%
FOX 1.13 -16%
CBS 1.08 +4%
