Projected weekly network ratings in prime time (based on four days of official nationals and three days of fast nationals). With two preseason NFL games this past week (Friday and Sunday), FOX vaulted to the top of the anemic network prime time ratings averages for the week.  NBC suffered mightily this week with no NFL games (the same week last year had one relatively highly-rated preseason NFL game on NBC).  With NFL preseason ratings down across the board from last year, even FOX suffered a 17% decline from the same week last year (despite carrying one additional game this past week).  There are limits even to the power of NFL ratings.

Adult 18-49 Prime Time Rating
THIS WEEK Same Week Last Year Last Week

ABC 1.05 1.02 +3% 1.07 -2%
4-net 4.56 5.29 -14% 4.23 +8%

With 12 weeks of summer ratings in the books, the networks remain in the same rank order, although NBC still might catch ABC (which has been coasting on the NBA Finals ratings the entire summer).

18-49 Rating vs Last Year
ABC 1.37 -1%
NBC 1.35 -56%
FOX 1.15 -16%
CBS 1.09 +3%
