NETWORK FINALS:  THE CROSSING’s premiere got worse in finals, down 0.1.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  TBS’s coverage of the NCAA TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP game dominated the night at 4.09, with local announcer simulcasts on TNT (0.55) and Tru (0.19); the resulting 4.83 was considerably below the 7.1 for CBS’s 2017 game, and also down from the cable 5.9 in 2016. 

USA’s WWE telecast was at 1.22/1.21/1.15, compared to last week’s 1.21/1.18/1.12.  On VH1, LOVE & HIP-HOP dropped 0.06 to 0.93, TEYANA & IMAN fell 0.07 to 0.71, and LEAVE IT TO STEVIE was at 0.54 compared to last week’s 0.72/0.67.  On Bravo, VANDERPUMP RULES gained 0.06 to 0.61, and the season finale of SUMMER HOUSE was up 0.02 to 0.28.  On MTV, TEEN MOM lost 0.04 to 0.54, and the follow-up YOUNG & PREGNANT hour was up 0.03 to 0.32.  On Food Network, SPRING BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP was steady at 0.32, and VEGAS CAKES was at 0.15.  On ID, COLD HEARTED held at 0.29, EVIL TALKS ticked down to 0.24, and VANITY FAIR CONFIDENTIAL was up 0.02 to 0.22.  On Discovery, SHIFTING GEARS fell 0.17 to 0.29, and FAST N LOUD tumbled two tenths to 0.28.  FOX News’s TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT topped cable news at 0.27/0.42/2.6M, over MSNBC’s RACHEL MADDOW SHOW at 0.25/0.39/2.1M, and CNN’s ANDERSON COOPER 360 at 0.21/0.27/1M.  On HGTV, HOUSE HUNTERS slipped 0.02 to 0.26, HOUSE HUNTERS INTL dropped 0.04 to 0.25, and FLIPPING VIRGINS premiered at 0.21.  A&E’s AMERICAN PICKERS dipped 0.02 to 0.17. 

On a slow night for scripted, AMC’s THE TERROR had the lead despite a 0.13 drop to 0.27, with lead-out MCMAFIA back from a week off at an off-chart 0.04/218K.  For the first time, Lifetime’s MARY KILLS PEOPLE outrated its lead-out UNREAL, with MARY up 0.02 to 0.08, and UNREAL down 0.02 to 0.07.
