It’s getting to be time for the season’s first cancellation.
CBS: MADE IN JERSEY plummeted to 0.8, below even (gulp!) Fringe, and can’t be long for this world. It probably didn’t have much effect on the long-running CSI NY and BLUE BLOODS that surround it, but they’re slumping too, with twin 1.2s that are far behind last season’s 1.9 and 2.0 averages.
NBC: A very solid episode of GRIMM (which unfortunately killed off one of the more appealing recurring characters) held even at 1.6, making it the highest-rated scripted show of the night, however narrow that distinction may be. The night started with a 0.9 VOICE rerun, and otherwise NBC probably would have won the night, since DATELINE took the 10PM hour with 1.3.
ABC: SHARK TANK‘s 1.7 romped at 8PM. The 9-11PM newsmagazines were both down a bit from last week, with PRIMETIME at 1.4 and 20/20 at 1.2.
FOX: Following a 1.0 X FACTOR rerun, FRINGE was also at 1.0, down a tick from last week’s season premiere.
CW: A steady 0.5 for AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, followed by 0.2 for a HART OF DIXIE rerun.
College football on 3 networks tonight, with CBS airing reruns. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE features host Daniel Craig, beginning his promotional duties for next month’s Skyfall (already airing a fair number of promos, even though it doesn’t open until Nov. 9) and musical guests Muse. On Sunday, FOX has the yearly Treehouse of Horror episode of THE SIMPSONS (almost a month before Halloween!), while in other horror news, ABC will hope 666 PARK AVENUE doesn’t plunge too deeply into the bowels of hell with its 2d episode. AMC airs the 2-hour season finale of HELL ON WHEELS.

>FRINGE needs another timeline.FOX: FRINGE fell back to a 1.0, which looks even worse because Grimm was up this week, making last week’s tie a dim memory. Still, these aren’t very different from the numbers that got the show renewed last season, so it’s not dead yet. THE FINDER, on…

THE SKED FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD
Embattled ABC fared the best on a slow night. ABC: LAST MAN STANDING was down 0.2 from last week to 1.2, but things improved after that, as THE NEIGHBORS held at 0.9, SHARK TANK was easily the highest rated show of the night on any network, steady at 2.0,…

THE SKED’S FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 9/14/12
ABC’s Friday makes its season debut. ABC: SHARK TANK, PRIMETIME and 20/20 all arrived for the new season with great consistency: 1.7/1.7/1.8. That was enough to win every hour (and the night), although none too impressively considering that they were facing reruns in almost every direction. FOX: What turned out…

THE SKED’S FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 10/19/12
Not a lot of support for scripted programming. ABC: The Alphabet took the night, winning each hour with its unscripted trio of SHARK TANK (2.0, the highest rated show of the night), PRIMETIME (1.6) and 20/20 (1.4). CBS: Some of last week’s bump from the elimination of Made In Jersey…
