ABC: LAST MAN STANDING rose 0.2 from last week to 1.4, enough to tie it for 1st place in the timeslot on a sleepy Friday night. But THE NEIGHBORS is probably just playing out its string, with no bump from last week’s 1.0. SHARK TANK was down 0.2 to 1.8, still the highest rated show of the night and enough to give ABC the nightly crown. 20/20 was up 0.4 to 1.6.
CBS: All the network’s hours were down from last week’s season premieres. UNDERCOVER BOSS fell 0.2 to 1.4, HAWAII 5-0 by 0.1 to 1.5, and BLUE BLOODS by 0.3 to 1.4.
FOX: MASTERCHEF JR was down 0.3 from last week’s premiere to 1.6, and then a SLEEPY HOLLOW rerun was at 0.7.
NBC: A pair of sitcom reruns started the night at 0.8/0.8, then it was DATELINE and a Meredith Viera special at 1.2/1.2.
CW: AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL was steady at 0.4 after a rerun of THE ORIGINALS at 0.3.
It’s college football on 3 networks tonight, and then SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE features Miley Cyrus, the girl of the moment (for better or worse), as both host and musical guest. Cable has the season finale of HELL ON WHEELS. Sunday’s noteworthy arrivals are Lifetime’s WITCHES OF EAST END after the season premiere of DROP DEAD DIVA, and the annual Treehouse of Horror episode of THE SIMPSONS. Less noteworthy: the season and probably series finale of LOW WINTER SUN on AMC.
