UPDATE: SHARK TANK climbed another 0.1 to 2.0, while there were 0.1 drops for THE NEIGHBORS, UNDERCOVER BOSS, ENLISTED (giving FOX triple 0.5s across the night), BLUE BLOODS and DATELINE.
FRIDAY CABLE: GOLD RUSH (Discovery) led the night at 1.1, although that was down a big 0.6 from last week, and WWE (Syfy) was at 0.8 (down 0.1), with companion show HELIX at 0.5. The most impressive number of the night, however, was the season finale of BANSHEE on Cinemax. 0.27 in 18-49s and 733K total viewers (968K with the 11PM re-airing) may not sound huge, but Cinemax is only in about 1/6 of US households (half as many as HBO), and it’s only gone over 1M viewers twice in the past year. BANSHEE did exactly what a network hopes a show will do in its 2d season, climbing 60% over last season’s finale with its highest rated episode ever–in fact, the highest rated Cinemax original ever. In fact, all this season’s episodes were among Cinemax’s top 25 shows this year. It sets Cinemax up well for this summer’s launch of the network’s highest-profile piece of original programming to date, the Steven Soderbergh/Clive Owen historical drama THE KNICK.
FOX: On what had to be one of the lowest nights of all-new programming in major broadcast network history, RAKE‘s 0.5 in its Friday debut joined the 0.6 for ENLISTED (down 0.1) and 0.5 for RAISING HOPE (even).
NBC: GRIMM and HANNIBAL were both up 0.1 to 1.6 and 0.9, but DATELINE fell 0.3 to 1.2 to start the night.
ABC: The fact that LAST MAN STANDING was a rerun at 0.8 didn’t affect the 0.9 for THE NEIGHBORS, the same as last week. SHARK TANK and 20/20 tied as the night’s highest rated shows at 1.9 (Shark down 0.1, 20/20 up 0.1).
CBS: UNDERCOVER BOSS slid 0.1 to 1.3, HAWAII 5-0 stayed at 1.4, and BLUE BLOODS was up 0.1 to 1.5.
CW: Reruns of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY at 0.4/0.5, followed by 0.3 for a COLIN & BRAD: 2 MAN GROUP special.
Tonight is mostly reruns, although CBS has an NBA-themed documentary called SUMMER DREAMS. Sunday, however, is bustling: NBC debuts its new Sunday schedule with the timeslot premiere of BELIEVE and launch of CRISIS, while ABC and FOX air the 2d episodes of RESURRECTION and COSMOS. On cable, HBO has the season finale of GIRLS, and Showtime concludes its season of EPISODES.

THE SKED FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD
Embattled ABC fared the best on a slow night. ABC: LAST MAN STANDING was down 0.2 from last week to 1.2, but things improved after that, as THE NEIGHBORS held at 0.9, SHARK TANK was easily the highest rated show of the night on any network, steady at 2.0,…

Hannibal didn’t eat anyone on the first Olympics-free Friday in a month. NBC: HANNIBAL returned at 1.1, which was considerably below its series premiere 1.5 (which aired on a Thursday), but better than its postseason 0.7 season finale. It was also slightly up from the 1.0 season finale of…

THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 3/7/14
HANNIBAL’s appetite decreased last night. NBC: DATELINE started the night fairly strongly at 1.5, up 0.3 from last week, and GRIMM was up 0.1 to 1.5. But HANNIBAL crashed to 0.8, down 0.3 from last week’s season premiere, and just slightly above last year’s season finale (which aired after…

THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 10/24/13
NBC: The regular Friday line-up got off to a solid start. GRIMM, at 1.8, was just about where the show had been last spring (and up 0.2 from last season’s finale). The better news was that DRACULA looks to be as compatible with Grimm as the network had hoped,…
