HANNIBAL‘s appetite decreased last night.
NBC: DATELINE started the night fairly strongly at 1.5, up 0.3 from last week, and GRIMM was up 0.1 to 1.5. But HANNIBAL crashed to 0.8, down 0.3 from last week’s season premiere, and just slightly above last year’s season finale (which aired after the regular season was over).
CBS: The network’s line-up was nothing if not consistent: UNDERCOVER BOSS, HAWAII 5-0 and BLUE BLOODS were all at 1.4, which was up 0.1 for Boss and steady for the other two. However, all of those numbers were down 0.2-0.4 from what the line-up had been doing pre-Olympics.
ABC: LAST MAN STANDING rose 0.1 to 1.3, but THE NEIGHBORS slipped by the same margin to 0.9. SHARK TANK was the highest-rated show of the night on any network, although down 0.1 from last week at 2.0. 20/20 was even at 1.8.
FOX: After 0.7 for a BONES rerun, ENLISTED was at 0.7 (up 0.1 from last week’s series low), while RAISING HOPE fell 0.1 to a new low 0.5.
CW: Reruns of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY continued to perform fairly well at 0.5/0.5, but a STAR-CROSSED rerun was at 0.2.
Tonight features wall-to-wall reruns on all the networks. In late night, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has Lena Dunham as host, with musical guests The National. Things will be much busier on Sunday, as ABC and FOX debut new line-ups. After the midseason premiere of ONCE UPON A TIME, the new RESURRECTION represents the network’s last chance for an original success this season, and then REVENGE moves into the 10PM slot. FOX slides its animated shows to 7-9PM (with back-to-back originals of THE SIMPSONS this week only) and then at 9PM airs an unusual “roadblock” premiere of the new version of COSMOS, which will simultaneously be shown on just about every FOX-owned cable network as well.

Hannibal didn’t eat anyone on the first Olympics-free Friday in a month. NBC: HANNIBAL returned at 1.1, which was considerably below its series premiere 1.5 (which aired on a Thursday), but better than its postseason 0.7 season finale. It was also slightly up from the 1.0 season finale of…

Whatever Undercover Boss did last night, it should do that again. CBS: On a mostly quiet network night, UNDERCOVER BOSS zoomed by half a ratings point to 1.8–not quite the biggest show of the evening, but close. The rest of the line-up didn’t fare as well, as both HAWAII…
