We won’t have Friday’s cable numbers until Monday, but there’s a good chance that ESPN’s World Cup coverage outrated everything on the broadcast networks last night.
NBC: The dubious honor of the night’s highest rated show went to DATELINE, down 0.2 from its last airing (it was preempted last week by the Stanley Cup Finals) to 1.1. Also down 0.2: CROSSBONES, now at 0.7.
ABC: Both WHAT WOULD YOU DO? and 20/20 were at 1.0, down a respective 0.2/0.3 from last week. The night’s SHARK TANK rerun was also at 1.0.
CBS: Reruns, with both UNDERCOVER BOSS and HAWAII 5-0 at 0.7.
FOX: Reruns, led by MASTERCHEF at 0.5.
CW: Reruns, highlighted by the 8:30PM WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY at 0.6.
NBC unloads the final 2 hours of CRISIS tonight, and ABC burns off its midsummer flop THE ASSETS. FOX has baseball, and CBS airs 2 episodes of 48 HOURS. Sunday, however, will be much busier. ABC launches its biggest summer project RISING STAR after the season premiere of WIPEOUT, but NBC is coming straight at them with a special 2-hour AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, interspersed with some daredevil stunts throughout the night. Meanwhile, TNT premieres THE LAST SHIP from executive producer Michael Bay, whose Transformers 4 just happens to be opening this week, and also airs the season premiere of FALLING SKIES, while HBO launches the final season of TRUE BLOOD.
