NETWORK UPDATE:  Due to NFL PRESEASON preemptions, comparisons are to last Saturday’s final numbers rather than Sunday’s preliminaries.  On NBC, as expected the HANNIBAL finale lost most of its initial gain, but it did edge up 0.1 to 0.3, after 0.4 for an AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR rerun.  The NFL PRESEASON game on CBS (Seattle vs. San Diego) adjusted to 1.3.  On ABC, a run of CARS was at 0.6, and a rerun of LAST MAN STANDING was at 0.5.  On FOX, the HOME FREE and BULLSEYE reruns were up 0.2 to 0.4.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Although the chart shows NFL Network’s own NFL PRESEASON game (Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo) on top of Saturday cable at 0.65, in fact it was one of the quasi-original animes on Adult Swim.  Their line-up was as follows:  DRAGON BALL Z at 0.83/1.75M (up 0.11), AKAME GA KILL at 0.59 (down 0.02), MICHIKO & HATCHINI at 0.50/1.15M (down a hundredth), SWORD ART ONLINE at 0.46 (up 0.01), NARUTO at 0.36/830K (down 0.03), and ATTACK ON TITAN at 0.34/780K (down 0.09).

Elsewhere, it was a good day for family animation and sports.  Members of the Top 10 included ESPN’s PREMIER BOXING at 0.49 and  episodes of its COLLEGE GAMEDAY at 0.37 and SPORTSCENTER at 0.34, a Cartoon Network POKEMON episode at 0.40 (up 0.04), and a Nickelodeon POWER RANGERS also at 0.40 (up 0.02).  BET’s original movie LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN was at 0.36.  AMERICA’S NEXT WEATHERMAN (TBS) climbed 0.05 to 0.29.  The midseason finale of AMC’s HELL ON WHEELS ticked down to 0.28.  Discovery’s MYTHBUSTERS VS JAWS was at 0.27.  On Starz, SURVIVOR’S REMORSE perked up by 0.07 to 0.19, and BLUNT TALK gained 0.02 to 0.15.  Hallmark’s CEDAR COVE rose 0.02 to 0.13.  BIG BROTHER AFTER DARK (POP) was at 0.04/132K.
