BROADCAST FINALS

ABC:  Returning from a rerun week, AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS lost a tick to 0.46, CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE dropped 0.06 to 0.44, SUPERMARKET SWEEP fell 0.08 to 0.35, and THE ROOKIE was down 0.04 to 0.32.

CBS:  Comparisons are to October 10, the last time the network didn’t have the afternoon national NFL game.  60 MINUTES shrank by 0.32 to 0.60, THE EQUALIZER fell 0.18 to 0.59, NCIS: LA dropped 0.18 to 0.47, and SEAL TEAM was down 0.11 to 0.33.

NBC:  SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL was at 4.35, down a tick from last week, and just about equal to the 4.3 for the 2020 game that faced off against the World Series.

FOX:  Game 5 of the WORLD SERIES was at 3.14, up from 2.6 for 2020’s Game 5.

CW:  LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE was down 0.03 to 0.05, followed by reruns at 0.08/0.05.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Possibly due to the sports competition, it wasn’t a great night for most scripted shows.  On AMC, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD dropped 0.04 to 0.18, and WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND was down 0.05 to 0.09.  The exception was Starz, where BMF rose 0.05 to 0.15, and HIGHTOWN was steady at 0.04.  Hallmark’s original movie was at 0.15.  BBC America’s DOCTOR WHO returned at 0.08.  On HBO, SUCCESSION fell 0.04 to 0.08, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM ticked down to 0.07, LAST WEEK TONIGHT shrank by 0.05 to 0.07, and INSECURE was down 0.06 to 0.05.  On Showtime, THE CIRCUS was steady at 0.01/157K, BURIED gained a tick to 0.01/63K, AMERICAN RUST held at 0.01/288K, and DESUS & MERO was down 0.02 to 0.01/37K.

Unscripted dominated the top of the day’s chart, but with some declines as well.  On TLC, 90 DAY FIANCE fell 0.09 to 0.36, and I LOVE A MAMA’S BOY ticked down to 0.22.  On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF THE POTOMAC lost 0.04 to 0.29, and REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SLC was down 0.06 to 0.18.  On Food Network, the primetime HALLOWEEN WARS was up 0.04 for its namesake day to 0.22, and the network’s earlier shows included DELICIOUS MISS BROWN at 0.20, GIRL MEETS FARM at 0.19, and BAREFOOT CONTESSA at 0.17.  On Discovery, ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE dropped 0.03 to 0.17, and HOMESTEAD RESCUE was down 0.05 to 0.11.  TUDN’s LIGA match was at 0.16.  On ID, ON THE CASE gained 0.03 to 0.14, and AMERICAN MONSTER was up 0.02 to 0.12.  HGTV’s RENO INC edged up 0.02 to 0.11.  On History, ENGINEERING THAT BUILT THE WORLD slipped 0.02 to 0.10, and WHEN BIG THINGS GO WRONG was up 0.03 to 0.08.
