NETWORK FINALS:  OLYMPICS ratings climbed 0.4 in final numbers to 5.9.  Elsewhere, the 9PM rerun of WAYWARD PINES fell 0.1 to 0.1.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Cable coverage of the RIO SUMMER OLYMPICS took 5 of Saturday’s top 11 slots (and all of these telecasts were several hours long, so they really dominated the cable day), with NBC Sports Net’s afternoon coverage on top at 0.75, and MSNBC at 0.34, with USA farther back at 0.22, and Bravo at 0.19.  Adult Swim’s late-night animation block was the other major Saturday performer, with DRAGON BALL Z down 0.09 to 0.62/1.404M, ONE PUNCH MAN also down 0.09 to 0.54, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM down 0.03 to 0.44, HUNTER X HUNTER down 0.02 to 0.37/830K, NARUTO down 0.02 to 0.31/719K, ONE PIECE up 0.06 to 0.33/713K, and PARASYTE up 0.04 to 0.28/620K.  Fox Sports Net’s UFC FIGHT NIGHT was at 0.34.  An 8:30AM Nickelodeon episode of MIRACULOUS was at 0.31.  On Spike, an original COPS fell a tenth to 0.30, and BIG JAIL TEXAS was also down a tenth to 0.25. BOXING on HBO was rated in fragments at 0.28/0.23/0.23.  Hallmark’s original movie MY SUMMER PRINCE was at 0.26.  ESPN’s coverage of theNFL HALL OF FAME CEREMONY was at 0.23 (somewhat controversially, the companion game was canceled at the last minute). On Food Network, KITCHEN AT FN held at 0.24, PIONEER WOMAN was at 0.22, and TRISHA’S SOUTHERN KITCHEN was down 0.05 to 0.19.  On HGTV, BEACHFRONT BARGAIN HUNT dropped 0.12 to 0.22, and HOUSE HUNTERS RENOVATION plunged 0.17 to 0.21.
