NETWORK FINALS:  SUNDAY  NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted to 4.9, a full point below last week’s final number.  In addition, NCIS: LA gained 0.1, while THE SIMPSONS lost the same.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  It seems as though HBO can breathe a sign of relief about WESTWORLD, which may not be a blockbuster, but is shaping up as a significant hit.  Comparisons with last week aren’t exactly apples-to-apples, since HBO made those episodes available in advance online (and much of cable was down last week due to the PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE), but WESTWORLD climbed a big 0.25 to 0.92.  (Of course, next week it will have to face the season premiere of THE WALKING DEAD head-to-head.)  DIVORCE was up a tenth to 0.24, and INSECURE gained 0.04 to 0.15, while LAST WEEK TONIGHT was up 0.07 to 0.49.  Thinking of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD, the network aired a 2-hour THE STORY SO FAR recap show, and that garnered a 0.90 rating, making it clear that viewers are still all-in on the show.  On Showtime, SHAMELESS wasn’t damaged by HBO’s gains, up 0.12 to 0.57, and MASTERS OF SEX was up 0.03 to 0.14.  FX’s THE STRAIN slipped 0.02 to 0.34. Disney Channel’s ELENA OF AVALOR returned at 0.34.  Nat Geo’s KILLING REAGAN special was at 0.27.  USA’s EYEWITNESS debuted at a blah 0.20.  On Starz, ASH VS EVIL DEAD ticked up to 0.19, and BLUNT TALK was off the chart, down 0.02 to 0.03/95K. 

Overall, Sunday cable was led by Fox Sports 1’s Dodgers vs. Cubs BASEBALL PLAYOFFS game at 2.13.  VH1’s BASKETBALL WIVES rose 0.11 to 0.83.  On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY jumped 0.14 to 0.63, and MANZOD WITH CHILDREN was up 0.02 to 0.27.  E!’s ROB & CHYNA finale climbed 0.11 to 0.61, and WAGS was up 0.04 to 0.28.  Discovery’s ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER was at 0.58.  TLC’s 90 DAY FIANCE gained 0.13 to 0.54, and was actually outrated by its HAPPILY EVER AFTER after-show, up an impressive 0.22 to 0.56.  On Food Network, HALLOWEEN WARS edged up 0.02 to 0.48, GUY’S GROCERY GAMES was up 0.11 to 0.43, and WORST BAKERS IN AMERICA was up 0.04 to 0.38.  Spike’s BAR RESCUE gained 0.03 to 0.28.
