NETWORK FINALS:  The Women’s Gymnastics US OLYMPIC TRIALS, BIG BROTHER and the AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS rerun gained 0.1 in final numbers.  Also note that due to a golf overrun on FOX, the regular schedule of reruns only ran 8:30-10PM.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  The big winner on Sunday cable was ESPN’s afternoon coverage of the EURO 2016 championship match at 1.69. That was far better than the network’s morning coverage of the WIMBLEDON men’s final at 0.49.

The premiere of HBO’s THE NIGHT OF had the excuse of previously being available on digital/VOD, but still the 0.26 ratings start wasn’t particularly promising.  (HBO, of course, gets some benefit from the aura of excellence even around shows people don’t watch, because it’s a subscription service.) Showtime’s RAY DONOVAN edged up 0.02 to 0.35, and ROADIES lost a tick to 0.10.  On TNT, THE LAST SHIP had an impressive 0.21 jump to 0.62, and MURDER IN THE FIRST grew by 0.07 to 0.29. On AMC, PREACHER had a 0.04 bump to 0.55, and RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS was up 0.02 to 0.20. On Adult Swim, SQUIDBILLIES returned at 0.53, and BRAD NEELY’S HARG NALLIN was at 0.44. USA’s MOTIVE slipped 0.02 to 0.20.  CMT’s STILL THE KING gained 0.03 to 0.14.  TV Land’s JIM GAFFIGAN SHOW was steady at 0.12.  

Discovery’s NAKED & AFRAID scored 0.73 after 0.34 for a related special last week.  On E!, KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS ticked up to 0.71, and WAGS was up 0.02 to 0.34.  On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY was at 0.68, and SHAHS OF SUNSET jumped 0.19 from 2 weeks ago to 0.47.  On Food Network, FOOD NETWORK STAR rose 0.11 to 0.57, COOKS VS CONS returned at 0.49, and GUY’S GROCERY GAMES was up 0.09 to 0.35.  The first part of History’s DB COOPER special was at 0.46.  TLC’s RETURN TO AMISH was at 0.44.  Spike’s BAR RESCUE was at 0.41.  A&E’s ESCAPING POLYGAMY was at 0.34, and INTERVENTION fell 0.08 to 0.26.
