NETWORK FINALS:  SCANDAL lost 0.1 in final numbers, and CBS’s NCAA TOURNAMENT coverage adjusted to 1.2, down rather badly by half a point from last year’s Day 1 broadcast network action.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Thursday cable belonged to the NCAA BOURNAMENT, with games and associated programming on TBS and TNT taking all the Top 5 slots of the day, and (with Tru) 8 of the Top 12.  Mitch Metcalf will post a special SKEDBALL with more details about the NCAA cable ratings, but for now, note that the top-rated game was TBS’s North Carolina vs. Florida Gold Coast match-up, which at 1.44 outrated the CBS games.  The top non-basketball show of the night was A&E’s 60 DAYS IN, up a big 0.19 from last week to 0.68, with lead-in THE FIRST 48 up 0.17 to 0.55.  USA’s WWE gained 0.03 to 0.68, and then the season finale of COLONY slipped 0.03 to 0.34.  On History, VIKINGS fell 0.06 to 0.62, and JOIN OR DIE ticked down to 0.20.  HGTV’s FLIP OR FLOP rose a tick to 0.59, and HOUSE HUNTERS INTL was up 0.03 to 0.40.  Bravo’s TOP CHEF season finale climbed 0.08 to 0.46, but lead-out RECIPE FOR DECEPTION lost 0.02 to 0.09.  On MTV, a Thursday episode of CATFISH at 0.44 was the lead-in to the premiere of REAL WORLD: GO BIG OR GO HOME (which we’ll just refer to as “REAL WORLD” hereafter) at 0.31, and a REAL WORLD special followed at 0.21.  On Food Network, BEAT BOBBY FLAY was at 0.39 after COOKS VS CONS premiered at 0.37, with 0.37 for the night’s lead-in CHOPPED.  On Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY ALL-STARS gained 0.06 to 0.37.  On Comedy Central, WORKAHOLICS ticked up to 0.31, and the season finale of IDIOTSITTER was also up 0.01 to 0.18.  FX’s BASKETS climbed 0.04 to 0.22.  We’s MARY MARY lost a tick to 0.19.  IFC’s PORTLANDIA held at 0.06.
