SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Sunday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 2.1.2015

NETWORK UPDATE:  THE SUPER BOWL adjusted up to 39.1 in final numbers, slightly below last year’s 39.3.  THE BLACKLIST adjusted down to 8.4, which was far below the 11.4 for the NEW GIRL that ran during the first half-hour of last year’s post-game slot, but above the 6.9 that BROOKLYN NINE-NINE had in the 2d half-hour.  We don’t have the post-primetime quarter-hour breakdown, but since BLACKLIST averaged 12.1 in its 1st half hour, the 2d half-hour drop had to be steep.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

The pickings were slim on Sunday cable, as most networks chose to stay away from the game.  (When ESPN’s PBA BOWLING at 2PM hits the day’s top 10 at 0.39, it’s a slow day.)  MIKE TYSON MYSTERIES (Adult Swim) topped the night, up a tenth to 0.84.  Animal Planet’s PUPPY BOWL was at 0.80, and Hallmark’s KITTEN BOWL was at 0.31, with TLC’s TODDLER BOWL at 0.13.  Showtime ran its full line-up, with SHAMELESS down 0.28 to 0.60, HOUSE OF LIES down 0.05 to 0.18, and EPISODES steady at 0.12.
