SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Thursday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 12.18.2014


NETWORK UPDATE:  The only football-related changes in final numbers were 0.1 decreases to ELEMENTARY and the 8PM rerun of BONES. 

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

NFL Network’sTHURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL was in its customary place at the top of the Thursday cable chart, but the match-up between losing teams Jacksonville and Tennessee wasn’t very attractive, and the game was 0.86 below last week’s game at 1.56.  The series finale of THE COLBERT REPORT was next, more than doubling last Thursday’s rating to 1.03, and helping to boost lead-in THE DAILY SHOW, up 0.32 from last week to 0.81.  ESPN’s NBA BASKETBALL doubleheader was at 0.88/0.67, within a tenth of last week’s games.  History’s PAWN STARS was at 0.76/0.65, the 1st half-hour up 0.08 from last week, and PAWNOGRAPHY was at 0.55/0.44, up from last week’s 0.44/0.39.  On USA, the series finale of WHITE COLLAR gained a hundredth to 0.45, while the season finale of COVERT AFFAIRS jumped 0.16 to 0.43.  On Adult Swim, NEWSREADERS lost 0.12 to 0.56, and THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW was also down 0.12 to 0.44.  THE CARBONARO EFFECT (Tru) shot up 0.19 to 0.45.  PROJECT RUNWAY ALL STARS (Lifetime) fell 0.06 to 0.40, and PROJECT RUNWAY THREADS dropped 0.08 to 0.16, with 742K total viewers.  MTV aired 3 episodes of SLEDNECKS, at 0.28/0.24/0.23, roughly the same as last week’s 2 episodes.
