SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Tuesday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 1.20.2015

NETWORK UPDATE:  Before the STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS took over, MASTERCHEF JR and THE FLASH each gained 0.1 in the 8PM hour, while PARKS AND RECREATION declined by the same amount (but held its preliminary rating in the 2d half-hour).

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

JUSTIFIED returned to FX for its final season at 0.60, and apparently there was little nostalgia from its fans, since the premiere was down an ugly 0.52 from the 2014 launch.  (The drop wasn’t quite as bad in the older Total Viewers metric, down from 2.84M to 2.17M.)  Tuesday cable’s leader, though, was REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS (Bravo), down 0.02 from last week to 0.85.  Note:  THE GIRLFRIENDS GUIDE TO DIVORCE doesn’t appear on the chart, but it was at 0.28 (down 0.07 from last week), with 687K total viewers (down 86K); it goes without saying that losing two-thirds of one’s lead-in isn’t a sign of success.  HGTV’s FIXER UPPER took an almost two-tenths leap from 0.61 to 0.80.  THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS (OWN) lost 0.04 to 0.77.  MOONSHINERS (Discovery) had a good night, up 0.15 to 0.75.  On ABCFamily, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS tumbled 0.19 from last week’s season premiere to 0.74, but SWITCHED AT BIRTH gained 0.05 to 0.53.  (LIARS was still dominant in its F12-34 demo at 2.02, down 0.40 in that measure from last week.)  On TBS, GROUND FLOOR rose 0.03 to 0.62, and COUGAR TOWN stayed at 0.38.  MTV’s REAL WORLD SKELETONS leaped by more than 50%, up 0.23 to 0.57, although lead-out THE CHALLENGE lost 0.05 to 0.55.  DANCE MOMS (Lifetime) was off a tick to 0.50, and lead-out CHILD GENIUS rose 0.04 to 0.30.  FACE OFF (Syfy) fell 0.06 to 0.40.  REAL HUSBANDS (BET) fell 0.14 to 0.36.  VH1’s SUAVE SAYS more than doubled (albeit at small numbers), gaining 0.09 to 0.17.  On Comedy Central, THE KROLL SHOW (not on the chart) was up 0.01 to 0.26, with 470K total viewers, and then THE DAILY SHOW and THE NIGHTLY SHOW each dropped 0.14 from Monday to respective 0.44/0.31.
