SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Wednesday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 10.15.2014

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  MODERN FAMILY and IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN gained 0.1 in final ratings, as did THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA and RED BAND SOCIETY.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

AMEICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW (FX) fell a heavy 0.84 from last week’s season premiere, but it still towered over everything else on Wednesday cable to 2.26.  Fox Sports 1’s coverage of the NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAYOFFS was next at 1.34, with TBS’s coverage of the afternoon American League game at 0.92.  On Comedy Central, SOUTH PARK dropped 0.13 to 1.02, then KEY & PEELE gained 0.10 to 0.75.  (THE DAILY SHOW and THE COLBERT REPORT followed close behind at 0.67/0.59.)  A TEEN MOMS reunion special on MTV was at 0.76 (down 0.06 from last week), followed by 2 episodes of GIRL CODE at 0.35/0.33.  Bravo’s MILLION DOLLAR LISTING gained 0.16 to 0.57 (with TOP CHEF at 0.44), and TLC’s EXTREME CHEAPSKATE climbed 0.18 to 0.54 at 9:30PM, even though the 9PM episode was at 0.38.  GHOST HUNTERS (Syfy) slipped 0.03 to 0.47, and FOR BETTER OR WORSE (OWN) fell 0.04 to 0.38.  THE LEAGUE (FXX) was at 0.30, (up 0.03 from last week) and FRANKLIN & BASH (TNT), which didn’t air last week because of the 2-hour LEGENDS finale, was at 0.25.  IMPACT WRESTLING (Spike) was at 0.28 in the demo, with 982K total viewers.
