Considering it was the third-worst blowout in Super Bowl history, the early ratings in the 56 markets with local Nielsen meters are very good and in line with the last four years.  National ratings will be available later today.  The 47.6 household rating in the metered markets for last night’s game will translate to a slightly lower household rating in the nationals.

Complete round-up of Super Bowl Sunday (pre-game and post-game), as well as other sports over the weekend, now added below.

Super Bowl Ratings Track:

The official estimate of the number of people watching in an average minute is 115.3 million people (of any age), setting anew record by 200,000 people.  We don’t have the “Total Audience” figure yet (the number of people who tuned in for at least a few minutes).  FOX is not releasing it yet, meaning there was nothing to boast about.  Still given how awful the game was, it is amazing the average audience number did not choke as badly as the Denver Broncos did.
