The booze had been drunk, the party rooms cleaned up, everyone had gone home from last week’s network Upfront presentations–but CBS wasn’t quite done.  After what must have been marathon negotiations with Sony Television (which had an arduous few weeks that also included tough talks with NBC over its pick-ups), CBS has ordered the single-camera comedy BAD TEACHER for midseason.  The show is, of course, based on the movie, with Ari Graynor in the Cameron Diaz role.  It gives CBS 3 back-up sitcoms (along with the previously-ordered Friends With Better Lives and the renewed but as-yet unscheduled Mike & Molly) on top of the four comedies the network is launching in the fall.  So if/when the new shows start falling, the network is prepared.
