SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 12.22.2017

With the networks in holiday hibernation, nothing on broadcast TV managed more than a 0.8 rating.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

Fast Demo 2017 Dec 22.FRI

ABC:  After a SHARK TANK rerun at 0.7, AGENTS OF SHIELD may have benefited from the lack of competition, rising 0.1 to 0.6.  20/20 dropped 0.1 to 0.4.

NBC:  BLINDSPOT fell 0.1 to 0.6, and DATELINE was also down 0.1 to 0.8.

FOX:  A pair of HELL’S KITCHEN episodes were at 0.5/0.6, down from last week’s 0.8 hour.

CBS:  A nostalgia night featured colorized episodes of I LOVE LUCY at 0.8 and THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW at 0.6.  A BLUE BLOODS rerun ended the night at 0.5.

CW:  Holiday special reruns at 0.2/0.2.

Saturday primetime includes an NFL game on NBC, while Christmas Eve is all reruns, including the year’s first IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE run on NBC.  One eccentric piece of scheduling:  Starz decided the holiday night was a good time for the season finale of its sexually explicit THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back Tuesday afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day, later than normal due to the Christmas holiday.
