The season finales continue.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis follows the chart.
CBS: The season finale of THE AMAZING RACE was steady with 2015 at 1.0, and also up 0.1 from last week. The 2-hour season finale of HAWAII 5-0, at 1.1/1.2, was up 0.1 in each of its 2 hours from the 2-hour 2015 finale, and the 10PM hour was 0.1 higher than last week’s episode.
CW: It’s not entirely fair to compare this year’s THE VAMPIRE DIARIES season finale to 2015, since that aired on a higher-rated Thursday. Nevertheless, last night’s 0.4 was down 0.3 from that number, although it was up 0.1 from last week. THE ORIGINALS remained at 0.3.
NBC: CAUGHT ON CAMERA returned from a week off down 0.1 to 0.6, and GRIMM stayed at 0.8. DATELINE, which had a 90-minute episode last week, was down 0.1 to 0.8.
ABC: BEYOND THE TANK rose 0.1 to 0.7, but SHARK TANK stayed at 1.2. 20/20 had another 1.0 week.
FOX: The network took the night off for a 0.4 run of the movie JUMPING THE BROOM.
Tonight’s network line-up is all reruns. On Sunday, however, there are finales for the full ABC line-up, including QUANTICO, a 2-hour ONCE UPON A TIME, and what we now know is the series finale for THE FAMILY. In addition, FOX’s THE LAST MAN ON EARTH ends its season.
