Not even the start of a new season can wring much excitement from Fridays anymore.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
ABC: LAST MAN STANDING started the season with 1.1, down 0.2 from its 2014 premiere. After an 0.8 rerun of the MUPPETS pilot, SHARK TANK returned at 1.6, down 0.3 from last September. 20/20 wound up the night on a high note, nearly doubling last week’s 0.7 to 1.3.
CBS: THE AMAZING RACE stayed at last fall’s 1.1 for its premiere. HAWAII 5-0 fell 0.2 from last September to 1.0, but BLUE BLOODS edged up 0.1 from last year to 1.3.
NBC: After 0.7 for a rerun of the week’s BEST TIME EVER, a 2-hour DATELINE 1.0 dropped 0.2 from last week to 1.0.
FOX: Reruns of the week’s new series, with MINORITY REPORT showing more enthusiasm at 0.7 than the 0.5 for ROSEWOOD (not that that will substitute for the latter show’s adjacency to EMPIRE in its regular slot).
CW: MASTERS OF ILLUSION held at 0.4, before 0.3/0.3 reruns of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY and PENN & TELLER: FOOL US.
Sports is the name of the game tonight, with COLLEGE FOOTBALL on two networks and BOXING on NBC.

SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.21.2015
On another night riddled with football preemptions and likely to be adjusted by Monday numbers, there was little to say. ABC’s WE DAY special went largely unseen at 0.4, and the night’s original 20/20, down 0.2 to 0.7, barely outraged its SHARK TANK rerun lead-in. NBC’S DATELINE won the…
