The new season gets underway! (Sort of.)
CW: The network took a jump on the fall TV season by debuting the newest cycle of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL at 0.5. That was 0.1 below last season’s premiere, which started even earlier (on August 2). It wasn’t a good sign that Model came in below the new and rerun episodes of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY that preceded it at 0.6/0.7 (down 0.1 from last week for the new episode).
FOX: MASTERCHEF was the top-rated show of the night, up 0.1 to 2.0. MOTEL HELL rose 0.2 to 1.5.
ABC: A down night, as BACHELOR IN PARADISE fell 0.2 to 1.3, and MISTRESSES shrank by 0.3 to 0.7.
NBC: RUNNING WILD dropped 0.3 to 1.2. AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR was technically up half a point to 1.9, but last week was a clip show.
CBS: UNDER THE DOME was steady at 1.5, after a quartet of 0.9-1.0 sitcom reruns.
ABC and NBC air their regular summer Tuesdays tonight, with reruns on the other networks. On cable, MTV has the season finale of FINDING CARTER.
