The Sked: Monday Week Four

NBC Monday moved up again, a 4.3 Adult 18-49 prime time rating in the fast nationals (probably a 4.4 in the official nationals). CBS and ABC are even with recent weeks.  FOX earned a 1.3 in the fast nationals for Game 2 of St Louis vs San Francisco.  We’ll say the game goes up to a 1.6 in the official nationals (similar to the 1.8 to 2.1 bump for Game 1 on Sunday).   Worse than Bones and a little better than Mob Doctor, not a ringing endorsement for the national pastime.

ESPN’s Monday Night Football (Denver at San Diego) has little impact on the fast nationals since both markets are outside the ET/CT part of the country.   In Denver, the game ran over the air on a non-network station (KTVD 20).  In San Diego, the game ran on CBS station KFMB 8, but mostly out out prime time.  If anything the CBS comedies at 8 and 8:30 are inflated by post-game coverage but only by a very small margin.

NBC’s The Voice matched last week’s high and probably will rise to a 4.9 this afternoon, a new season high.  Even more impressive is Revolution gaining some traction in week five, back up to week two’s level.  A very good sign for the JJ Abrams drama.

Not much to see on CBS.  A weak second place, way down from last year’s hard-to-match levels.

MLB NLCS Game 2 turned in a 1.3 in the fast nationals, probably going up to a 1.6 in the official nationals.  A simply awful rating.  Last year on FOX, the end of the afternoon game achieved a 1.9 in the 8 pm hour on this similar Monday (Game 2 of ALCS), and Game 3 of ALCS (Texas at Detroit) the next night hit a 2.5 on FOX in prime time.  Last night’s game was one of the most non-competitive so far this post season.  As the Giants put the Cardinals away early, over on ESPN the Broncos mounted a historic comeback, 35 unanswered points to stun the Chargers in their house 35-24.
