A moderately good night for some newcomers.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
FOX: THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, airing with a 1.4 FAMILY GUY rerun as lead-in, rose 0.3 from last week (when the lead-in was 0.3 higher) to 1.9, although a second episode went back down to 1.6. The other new show of the evening was BOB’S BURGERS, steady at 1.0.
ABC: After ONCE UPON A TIME remained at 1.8, SECRETS AND LIES gained 0.1 to 1.5, and then REVENGE held at 1.1. The night began with a 0.1 rise for AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS to 1.4.
CBS: Afternoon NCAA TOURNAMENT games pushed primetime in the east by more than half an hour, so adjustments are probably in store. For now, 60 MINUTES is at 1.9, MADAM SECRETARY is at 1.3, THE GOOD WIFE is at 1.0, and BATTLE CREEK is at 0.8.
NBC: Still in a Sunday holding pattern, with a rerun THE VOICE at 0.7 and DATELINE up 0.3 to 1.2.
All the networks are new in primetime tonight except CW, and in late-night, CBS premieres THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN. On cable, ABCFamily has the season finales of THE FOSTERS and CHASING LIFE, and Comedy Central airs its JUSTIN BIEBER ROAST.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

The Sked: SUNDAY Ratings
Sunday preliminary broadcast ratings: 60 Minutes and the CBS 7:00-7:30 half hour specifically inflated by 10 minutes of the end of Masters coverage from 7:00-7:10 pm (mostly the monumentally awkward and amazingly tense ceremony in “Butler Cabin,” where the Green Jacket is awarded).
